I grew up around a lot of people who look a lot like me, so I like to separate myself a little by mixing up what I wear. Yeah, I could wear a full suit with a bowtie, or wear jeans and a sport coat, but I would rather mash it all up and take the best parts of each style and come up with something with a little edge. Jeans are a staple, and finding the right jeans is very important. A friend of mine introduced me to Gustin and I fell in love after the first pair I got from them. They are a solid pair of real denim jeans with the perfect fit (they offer three different fits).
I have a thing for slightly different sport coats. This one is perfect for almost any weather. When it’s cold out, which it often is in Michigan, you can zip up the inside vest and button all five buttons to stay warm. When the warmer weather finally rolls around, the inside vest zips right out and the sport coat stands on it’s own. I looked for three or four years to find this jacket.
Finish it off with a really comfortable and light pair of boots, a fun bow tie, and a really sharp shirt and life is good. Not only is it comfortable, but it stands out from the casual look, but isn’t so dressy that it only works at a formal wedding. That’s the kind of standing out that I go for. – Greg
