Raise your hand if there is a Stranger Things season 3 hole in your Halloween plans! I’m not usually one for scary things but that show is the right amount of adventure and fun and heart-warming friendship. Since I’m usually trying to just survive the terrifying commercials in October, this is as dressed up as …
All the Accessories
You’ve probably heard it said that the accessories are what make an outfit. With the right accessories you can make jeans red-carpet-ready or a floor length dress laid-back enough for a picnic. I personally find it much more interesting to mix it up like that. Pairing unexpected items makes an outfit creative and cool. Here …
Spring Layers
Raise your hand if you’re ready for spring? Unfortunately in Michigan spring is a fickle friend that teases us with her 60 degrees days of sun then tortures us with her snow dusting. So while Mother Nature tries to decide what season it is I’ll be over here layering with pieces like this colorful scarf …
Mas Amor, Por Favor
This week has been rough. Scratch that, this month has been rough. I don’t know if it’s the cold or lack of sun or the general doldrums that is waiting for spring but I have been struggling. I’m not normally one for wallowing but I have found myself in need of a mindset makeover. More …
Capital Style
Yes, I am obsessed with blazers. I’ve talked a lot about adding interest to an outfit and a blazer is one of my favorite ways to do that. They can say you mean business or round out ripped jeans and sneakers. When I’m having one of those I-have-nothing-to-wear days a blazer in my go-to to …

LA Lights
One of my favorite things about LA is all the fun places to visit. Having grown up there I have lots of great memories walking around the city and the museums are among my favorites. These lights in front of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) are an iconic LA landmark and …
Sunset on Summer
Yes, I know it’s October. Tomorrow is Halloween. But it’s been awhile since I’ve written a new post. If you follow me on social media I have been posting there but I haven’t written a new blog post for a few months. These photos are from my husband’s and my 12 year anniversary weekend getaway …
Denim Roundup
Donning denim is always presents a fun challenge of how to make this timeless staple feel fresh. I’d have to say that I wear denim most days and sometimes it can be easy to get stuck in a rut. Below I’ve rounded up some ways to refresh your denim options – yes, even skinny jeans 😉
Like all good 90’s trends, the split hem skinny is back this season :). I love this twist on skinny jeans.

I love that ripped denim is here to stay for at least one more season. This pair is even petite!

Bottom photo jeans by Zara. I like to opt for regular sizing when I want a more slouchy look.
These are my go-to skinny jeans. The lighter shade in the photo up top gives a fresh take with the cape and keeps it from feeling formal.
Jeans by 7 For All Mankind.
Coated denim is a great way to get a leather look with the comfort of jeans. I love these because they are comfy and slimming and ultra chic.

Summer is on its way and denim cutoffs have received an update with released hem details. Love this pair from H&M Conscious! Similar here
Wide-leg denim is making a comeback as a trend even though it is also a classic. Here I’m giving it a polished take with the tuxedo blazer but I also love wearing it with big colorful earrings, a boho-inspired blouse, and chunky platforms for a more relaxed and summery vibe.
